Samuel Freshfields investment took the form of non-control equity which was used by the company for various growth initiatives, and to provide liquidity to certain early-stage investors. In conjunction with Samuel Freshfields’ investment, Shun Way and Charles Chan have joined the company Board of Directors. We believe that this is an attractive investment opportunity based on the strength and experience of its management team, its strong reputation for developing critical software products for the financial services industry, the recurring nature of its service based customer contracts, its capital efficient business model, and strong competitive position.
Also, we are also pleased to announce the appointment of Carol Wing Wong as a Vice President and Director of Business Development. Mr. Wing Wong will start his tenure at Samuel Freshfields in due time.
His primarily focus is on new business development and investment sourcing. Prior to joining our team, Mr. Wing Wong was a Vice President at a strategic financial advising company, where he helped entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals obtain financing for their family businesses and investments. Mr. Wing Wong will be spending significant time building and maintaining our relationships with the investment banking community and other potential sources of investment opportunities.
