It is never too soon to start practicing mindfulness and spiritual wellness. Children can begin to experience the effects of negative energy from a young age, so why shouldn’t they experience the cleansing power of singing bowls?
Singing bowls have been used in Tibetan meditation rituals and for sound therapy for hundreds of years. The vibrations harmonize cells and cleanse the energy of a room. Children can benefit from sound therapy which can help them grow and thrive with mental clarity and positivity.
Leading a child through a meditation session can be trying, as children have difficulty concentrating. By using a singing bowl to focus their mind, they can fully experience the benefits of meditation without having intrusive thoughts impede their progress. This can help them learn to concentrate better during other situations in their everyday life as well.
Larger singing bells can also help a child with their breathing if they are having trouble slowing down at the end of the day or winding down before bed. Have the child match their breaths with the rotations of the striker in the bowl. Not only will this focus their minds and slow their breathing but staring at the rotations of the striker can even be gently hypnotizing and help them get to sleep.
A child might not know what a chakra is, but that does not mean they cannot become out of line within a child. Using sound therapy to heal a child’s chakras can be very helpful, as it does not require a child’s awareness or active participation to have an effect. Try and have a child discuss what they are feeling and what areas of their life they are struggling with, then try and discern which of their chakras is out of line and choose the frequency of singing bowl that will most help them. Try and get them to focus on the particular chakra that is out of alignment while using the sounding bowl and have them say when they begin to feel better.
When dealing with the wellness of a child, it is always better to make sure you are going down the correct path before using a sounding bowl. Some children need different frequencies than others to bring them into focus, be sure to ask plenty of questions from experienced singing bowl users before proceeding with a plan for your child.
