Administrator Account – You have to use an administrator account to use the software when updating it. It is very simple; you have to log off to the current and then login with the Admin account.
If you have already logged in with another account, you can right-click on the QuickBooks program and select ‘Run as administrator’ option and then enter the password for the admin account. This will change your access to QuickBooks software as an administrator.
Stop Anti-Virus and Rename Folders – You have to stop the antivirus from messing with the update settings on your system, here is what you need to do.

Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc simultaneously.

Now, go to the processes tab and select the antivirus.exe file and click on the End Process button located at the bottom of the page. If you aren’t able to do that, then you can try to uninstall the antivirus from the system.
