I know we've been distant but in my dreams I can't resist it, my mind says no.. he's damaged you... but my heart says give him a break or two, even though we're distant on two ends of the ocean, my head and heart can't hold it in.....

My thoughts think it's too late, there's no turning back he's far off he turned you down there's no ghost or soul that can help you get out of your hole, I can't help but think that you're miles away, I can't help but think how would it feel to be in your embrace or to see the features of your face, how would it be to talk to you in person, I wonder how distant we really are and I wonder if I made wounds that left you a scar....

I know I've made many mistakes in life but I don't know if leaving you to the side was right, my throat swells up as my tears choke me just at the thought of you not being here with me. What happened to being happy and not caring about what happened to all those conversations we were sharing?

I still think of a day where things will be okay, where I won't have stress to worry about a thing but then everything comes back to me in the blink of an eye, how many years has it been without you that I survived? How many more 'till I can see you before our eyes close and die, 'till they fade away without a trace?

I don't want to be the one to mourn over our fate, I still can't help but wait... until I have to wait to visit you in Spain.

                                                                                                                              ~Cynthia Duran
