Five Ways to Turn Kitchen into a Baking Haven

I wake up everyday to bake a cake that tastes better than what I baked the previous day.

If someone would ask me the question, “What do you wake up for?” That answer up there is the most precise that I can give. I am so obsessed with baking that I even dream of flour, fondant, and all of my baking activities in my sleep. So you can only imagine how delighted I was to learn of different hacks and tricks on how to turn my own simple kitchen into a baker’s haven that meets everything I need!

After doing a little more research on this and the budget required, I hired handyman and plumbing pros from kiasuplumber.com to get the kitchen remodelling project done the soonest time possible. So if you’re as in love with baking as I am, keep scrolling down for details on how I remodelled my kitchen into the place I’ve always dreamed of!

Custom-sized counter for my height

Cramps and muscle sores are my greatest challenges when I bake. I don’t have any problems with having to stretch my arms and legs for a long time, but my muscles do. So the first thing I changed inside my kitchen is the height of my counters. This is my workstation and making its size perfect for my height is a great help!

A central marble slab in my countertop

Long-time bakers know that a pastry board, no matter how big, is not enough for all the dough rolling action that needs to be done. After getting my counter renovated, the pro I hired installed a central marble slab on it that is big and flat enough for me. This made my dough preparation less burdensome. Now my hands can move above the counter with more freedom and ease.

Gigantic open shelves

With the many diverse ingredients and utensils that I need when I bake, I have to open the cabinet, grab the ingredient, then close the cabinet over and over for so many times in each baking session. This makes my job unnecessarily harder. So I had a gigantic open shelf built especially for these ingredients and spices so I can see with just one glance what I need for the session and return it easily after use. No more opening and closing the cabinet door over and over anymore.

Garbage disposal in my sink

While preparing the ingredients and executing baking procedures, you have to focus on the task alone and think of nothing else, not even choosing which to drain and which not to drain in your sink. For this reason, I always encounter drain clogging and it ruins my whole day! So when I remodelled, my kitchen I had a garbage disposal installed in the sink drain so I won’t need to be too careful when pouring out stuff there.

‘Everything electric’ area

Finally, my favorite part of my newly transformed kitchen is the “everything electric” corner. Aside from how sleek the corder looks, it also keeps me safe from electrical accidents that can happen if you keep moving extension wires from one place to another. This area is where all electrical appliances are placed. I don’t need to move them or use extension wires to power them up because there’s a special socket installed on this corner. Plus, it has a foldable tablet holder when I can charge my gadget after watching tutorials.
