The importance of quality training on fire safety is determined by the need to conduct preventive work and prevent emergencies associated with fires. According to statistics, fires are the most dangerous for life and health of people, as well as for the property of citizens and industrial enterprises. Training on fire safety allows to create a complex system that helps in the fire fighting.

Responsibility for organizing of training on fire safety falls on the top management of enterprises. Training on fire safety allows you to master the necessary fire-fighting knowledge and skills that are important in the daily activities of employees of enterprises.

Training on fire safety is devoted to the development and study of fire prevention skills, the procedure for the actions of employees of enterprises in the event of a fire, ways and actions to save people's lives and property.

Training on fire safety can be organized in two forms:

  • pre-service

  • in-service.

Training on fire safety on the job is conducted by the head of the organization or a person responsible for fire safety. The specificity of on-the-job training is that the fire-technical minimum course is short-lived. However, in spite of this fact, the employee should receive a full knowledge of the basics of safety, understand the importance of preventive measures, know the procedure for dealing with an outbreak.

Training with a break from work is longer. The courses cover a wide range of issues affecting various aspects of fire safety in enterprises.

Depending on the specialization of employees, the list of questions on fire safety may differ. Thus, there are separate programs, for example, for gas welders, installers, PC operators, etc. These categories of employees should not only have a general knowledge of fire safety, but also specific skills that will help prevent a fire from directly fulfilling their work duties.

Persons who are responsible for fire safety of the whole enterprise should have extensive knowledge, including in the field of fire safety legislation. They are responsible for the documentation of the enterprise in this field. They also have the responsibility for conducting initial and introductory briefings for employees in the workplace.

Training on fire safety is planned. The schedule of courses is established by the head of the enterprise. The schedule takes into account both the frequency of training on the requirements of regulatory enactments, and the ability to minimize damage to the production process during the absence of the employee.

In addition to the planned training on fire safety, there may also be a need for an urgent updating of existing knowledge. Such situations occur when fires or other accidents occur.

So, quality training on fire safety is the key to the accident-free operation of enterprises, which contributes to the preservation of people's lives and material values. The management of an enterprise should realize the necessity of fire sprinkler inspection and installation as well as carefully approach the issue of choosing a training center for the forthcoming training on fire safety.
