Lisa Torch, a/k/a The Goofy Blonde Chef, today released her first cookbook “The NashVegan Kitchen - Plant-Based Living in Music City USA”.
Taking some Nashville culinary favorites and transforming them into 100% plant-based recipes, Torch’s first cookbook effort has some charming anecdotes, photographs of all of the food, and step by step instructions.
“For those who know me”, Torch says, “This is not my usual weight loss-oriented book. This book includes Mac and Cheeze, Biscuits and Gravy, and Peach Cobbler. However, by making these recipes vegan, they are definitely healthier than if they were meat and dairy based. I wanted to give people lots of great comfort food that tastes every bit as good as their meat and dairy counterparts”!
The digital book will be available on two platforms initially - Apple Books, and on The Goofy Blonde Chef microsite. It will sell for the affordable price of $4.99. “I wanted to keep this affordable for everyone”, says Torch. “I’ll be donating a portion of all proceeds to the Nashville-based charities that have the greatest need right now. I’ve been blessed to be able to continue to work during the pandemic, and I want to give back to the community that inspired the book”.
