Boston Industrial Solutions, Inc., STC 370HP Silicone soft touch coating received the GLP - Skin Irritation certification for prolonged term use on industrial, consumer, and medical product devices.
The purpose of this coating is to reduce friction on silicone rubber. This coating once cured produces a durable silky-smooth finish that is superior to competing options on the market today.
Natron STC 370HP silicone coating was evaluated for direct (primary) skin irritation test based on the requirement of ISO 10993-10, Biological evaluation of medical devices – part 10. The coated silicone samples were graded for erythema and edema at 1, 24, 48, and 72hours. The results were outstanding with a primary irritation index calculated to be 0.0; the best possible.
