I am Angelica Murdock and I have a parenting blog (welcomeparenthood . com). I love to write about parenting tips & ticks, parenting style, baby health, baby activity tips etc. If you are new moms and looking for some of baby gears for your little kids then you can check my parenting blog. I have already reviewed lot of baby nursery gears that help you to find the best gears for your beloved child!

Every kid is different. They all are blessed with different attributes and qualities. These qualities set them apart from others. Some are good at academics, for some sports is a passion, some of them are drawn towards music and art.

Like these attributes there is one attribute which is highly desirable in kid’s i.e good interpersonal skills, which is so vital to succeed later in life. There are some kids, for whom making new friends instantly is a cake walk. But most of the others are shy and awkward in this area and they need extra help from their parents.

Here are some recommendations to coach your kid to become good at interpersonal skills:

  • Regularly interact with your kids. Your interaction with your kid should be positive as your kid sees you as a role model and an idol, so it’s your responsibility to wisely choose your words and expressions while interacting.
  • Try your best to make him feel good about himself, something which would help him cultivate a good self-image. Many a time’s kids are hesitant socially because they have a poor self-image.
  • Help prepare them before a social gathering. You can guide them on how to approach the kids totally stranger to them, what sentences to be used to make the first approach.

You should also teach them how to greet the elders, how to make the small talk with everyone around. You can create a hypothetical situation about the upcoming social gathering before them for example there are couple of kids playfully engaged in some enjoyable activity and you can tell them how to approach them and what phrases to use to strike the chord with them.
